MY BARE HOUSE & Thanksgiving

My home is bare because of all the stuff that has gone on, like the exploding water heater that flooded my spare room, the wall they had to be ripped out, and so on.. The bathroom is being ripped up Friday, and the whole house will have the carpets cleaned on Monday. So after Monday, I will finally be able to put my home together and I am looking so forward to it. The little things, like putting pictures on the wall, tables, lamps, the whole kitten caboodle.. WOO HOO. Look forward to those pictures, because I am looking forward to show you. I still have to do some spot painting!! Not very good at it, but I will do my beat. The base board will be a bitch, but live and learn. Otherwise, I am doing a very untraditional Thanksgiving dinner this year. I am doing lasagne (home made) takes me hours. Garlic bread, that I make with real garlic and butter, then salad. And  an apple pie al mode.. What the heck, it is only my husband and my son this year. I also bought Handcock the movie to watch. My husband will be watching games on the couch all day while I am slaving in the kitchen, and chasing a two year old around. the fun never stops! As my new friend Annette said, I need to figure out a way to get some adult time. Great suggestion, and I know you are speaking from experience.. Happy Thanksgiving all..
